Experience

Dan Valerian is the President and Founder of Valerian Consulting where he leads strategic planning, project management and client services for the company.

Prior to founding Valerian Consulting, Dan served as vice president of information systems, and later as the vice president of operations, with Cleveland Scholarship Programs, Inc., one of the nation’s largest nonprofit organizations dedicated to college access.

Dan is committed to his community, serving on committees and boards for several nonprofit organizations in northeast Ohio including Cleveland Digital Vision, Greater Cleveland Roundtable, Strategic Technology Alliance, Nonprofit Technology Leadership Council, (i)Cleveland and the Cleveland Foundation’s Civic Innovation Lab.  He currently serves on the board of the Institute for Creative Leadership and on the alumni committee for both Cleveland Bridge Builders and LeadDIVERSITY.
Dan is also a member of the Nonprofit Technology Enterprise Network, an organization dedicated to supporting the people and organizations that assist nonprofits in utilizing technology effectively.

In addition, his work has been recognized by Crain’s Cleveland Business magazine in its Who’s Who in Technology section.

Dan earned a bachelor’s degree from Cleveland State University where he graduated with a major in English and a minor in philosophy. He is a graduate of Cleveland Bridge Builders and the LeadDIVERSITY Program of the National Conference for Community and Justice.
